How do you capture the sounds, smells, sights and emotions of the past 10 days?  The process will begin as we say our goodbyes tomorrow and begin the journey back home. Most of what felt like a whirlwind the past 10 days will need to be digested in small bite-size pieces over the next few weeks, years and most likely our entire lifetime. Each of us will take home different memories; however, the love for Uganda will remain in our hearts forever. What we do with our experiences when we arrive back at home will differ with each of us as well. Each of us will speak into the lives that intersect with ours sharing our passions, love and hearts for Uganda.

We have all learned a lot about true joy that comes from within. The Ugandan people's exuberant joy comes from their very beings. From the welcoming dances at each school, their gratefulness to Fields  of Dreams Uganda and their rich hospitality, we have seen that the joy of the Lord is our strength.

We leave this place changed people. We leave and our lives will never be the same. We leave having learned more about ourselves and bringing more home than we left in Uganda.
